Make my Ascend P6 connect to my computer?

I've been reading every guide I can find, and nothing is working.

The disclaimer is I have no idea what I am doing here, but ya...

The goal:

Not finding the phone.

Now, I can get it to find the phone, by connecting with HiSuite.

However, this caused me a mild heart attack, as when I fastbooted this way, HiSuite got stuck (trying to install a drivers) and the phone got stuck on the booting logo.

I'm fairly clear on how to proceed by now, I just can't get the damned phone to connect.

Any advice greatly appreciated, as I am currently stuck on the Chinese KitKat, and my phone is useless.

The following is my latest attempt to get the driver installed:

Did you turn on usb debugging on the phone.
 
Yeah you have to switch on USB debugging before going though the fastboot and adw processes. I eventually figured it out on this phone - took a while but I got there...

You're not in fastboot mode there. Make sure you have the drivers installed, use adw to reboot to fastboot bootloader then use fastboot commands.

I think that's the process if I remember correctly from my limited time with this crap device...:p
 
It seems I had it right the first time:

"Your Phone now should be "stuck" on Huawei Ascend Logo, don't panic we are in fastboot mode now."

I panicked.

Yup. It will appear stuck, but that's fastboot mode. It stops there because you've now unlocked the bootloader to make changes to it on a deeper level of the phone itself.

So while on that screen you can use the fastboot commands...

Because, I assume, I have lost my connection:

But I lose my connection when I go into fastboot mode.

Wheegh...
 
Are the correct drivers installed?

I'm looking for the guide I followed last time that walked me through the process but I'm struggling. If I find it I'll post it...
 
Wait, have you rooted the device? I installed TWRP recovery the first time around - it auto-roots iirc.

That's the only way I could access the bootloader...
 
Turn off your phone. Restart it while holding volume down (Fastboot mode). Connect your phone via USB. (ADB: adb reboot-bootloader)

So the bolded bit is what I was trying to do earlier, this led to my phone disconnecting from the PC.

I can't get it to get into fastboot mode manually.

This is starting to become a chore now. :/
