How is Audi A5 2010?

There will be alot of 1.8T A4s in your budget.
Bought my 3.0 for R199k.

1.8Ts or 2.0Ts. I would look for a 2.0T ±2011 pre facelift, can get one for under R200,000 if you look, otherwise definitely around R210,000. Quattro should be possible for around R220,000...

What you are suggesting is pretty similar to what I read from other user from an overseas forum. It makes a lot of sense thanks!

I am averaging 10,3l/100km with mine. This is 85% driving in peak traffic. Includes the occasional spirited driving as well.

As soon as I hit the open road, it drops te below 7l/100km @130kph.

Not bad at all! That's reasonable. Thanks for that info!

Before I forget, also have a look at the Audi clubs sa forum website. Some good information there as well.

surely at the R250k+ (maybe even less), service budget is irrelevant.
Max 5k for basic, and R10k for an inspection 2 equivilent service is nothing when you are paying R5k+ a month

Part could be a legitimate concern, especially turbos and gearboxes

I find that money not that bad. With regards to those costly parts that's where Aftermarket Warranty will come in.

Hi guys,

I would like to get an advise on a 2nd hand Audi A5 of models between 2009 to 2011. I would like to buy one soon with reasonable kilos and FSH. My worry as per guys that never drove that car or Audi is that the service is too expensive and and every small part is expensive. Anyone who drove this car or knows anyone who drove it please tell me how much it'll cost for servicing intervals. Or any prons and cons I need to know on a 2nd hand Audi A5. My bad, I'm not that clued up as this is gonna be my first car except the ones I owned in Need For Speed. If you need more info please shout!

Thanks in advance.

So what happened? Did you get your Audi?

Same performance as the A5 I believe (155kW), and the same interior.

Not sure if it's common knowledge (only learned recently) but the non-Quattro 2.0T A5s are only 132kw, the Quattro A5 2.0T is the 155kw but 350nm torque and the new A5 Quattro 2.0T is actually 162kw or so. I always assumed until recently that all A5 2.0T engines were the GTI 155kw / 280nm.

Nice, take it they're 162kW/350NM like mine.

A4/A5 uses a longitudinal engine, so wouldn't be the same as the Golf, which I believe shares its transverse engine with the A3?

Ah that does sound like I've heard it before :)
