How long does upgrading take?

My donwnload speeds locally have improved somewhat, I'm getting 2mb speeds from SAOL's speed test. Telkom's test tells a wildly different story though.

Below is the data used to calculate your download speed:

Download time: 13.016 seconds
Size of file: 500 KiloBytes
Estimated line speed: 313.5 (kilobits/second)
Estimated line speed: 38.4 (kiloBytes/second)

According to them I'm on a line much slower than what I'm supposed to be.

with the new 4mbps trial thing, i wanted to upgrade my 512 line to 1mbps and be part of the trial thing.....

so i phoned telkom, and asked if i can upgrade to 1024 and be put on the 4mbps trial, the person i spoke to said that this is not possible. he said that i can upgrade to 1024, but the 4mbps is still in trial phase and only certain ppl have been upgrade....

WTF?!? is this true? how do i upgrade my current 512 line to the 4mbps ?

anyone succesfully upgrade their 512 line to 4mbps? pls help

Another case of people who work for Teklom not having a clue...If you upgrade to 1024, you will get 4096. I did.
