How long it will take to burn through your data cap

i get up to 20mbps on hsdpa and im happy. I only use LTE when connecting with my company's corp apn, its useful when moving large data across shared folders. most softwares i move average 1GB and thats done in less than 3 minutes (impressive)! whats more impressive is that i dont pay for that data

What was your experience on Afrihost business? I've been on the service for years now and they don't shape or throttle me at any amount of usage. My household typically does 350-550GB a month.

Afrihost Business was good, but they do throttle as well after prolonged continuous download. They also started throttling me around the 300GB mark, but I had quite a bit of connection issues and often speed issues. So, it was back to Telkom for me.

Try Crystal Web next. They seem pretty good, and they just won ISP of the year. They've got large but well priced capped packages that provide free massive nighttime download usage.

Telkom 'uncapped adsl' caps me at around 300GB and brings down my speed to about 10kb/s. Use that up in about a week.

Mweb business uncapped starts capping me at around 100GB and totally stops my Internet (Internet speeds of around 4kb/s). Use this up in about 3-5 days. After about a week it is open again and I can download about 1-10GB until I get locked out for the rest of the month.

Then I make use of my 8TA pre-paid line. I purchase two 60GB+60GB bundles for the last 2-3 weeks of the month. Cost me R3600 for the two pre-paid bundles.

This is what data I need to get through the month.

Yes, the R1800 package at Mweb. They cap at around 300GB. If you reach the cap for a couple of months, they lower that cap to around 100GB for a long term period. If contacted, they tell you that they are monitoring the account and may permanently apply the lower cap. In fact, there were months where they never restored my cap at the end of the month and I stayed capped for about 2-3 months on end. They bring up their FUP as the reason for this.

You can get decent business quality for sup R1000 and we talking 40 VDSL Business capped account.

It's obviously not. He could save crazy money by just going with Afrihost business uncapped or Crystal Web capped or uncapped.

I'm on MWEB 4Mbit uncapped premium. The AUP amount is 400GB per 30 days. I usually use 80-140GB per month.
