How Long to activate Line?

I have Moved flats ans the flat I moved into has a tel line.. when plugged in I just got a busy signal...

Last friday I when to telkom to get my line enabled and added the adsl option...
as of yesterday the phone is now working but the adsl not yet... how long does this normally take ?
 
Ok so I got my line activated on Friday.....

I did the self install with the guy over the phone and the account sinked asn all that.. then he said they need to reset my pp conection and everything would be working in 30 mins(16:30 Friday)

At 17:10 friday I phone telkom wait 30mins to get through.. I land up talking to a lady but the name of javu or jabu. she tried to get me to setup a pppoe connection on my pc and it still does work... she then see's it is close to 18:00 and procededs to tell me there is a fault on my line(disc out of balance) I ask her what it means as it was working for the activation. she said she doesnt know.. all she can do is log a fault.

Sunday Afternoon 2 telkom guys rock up at my house, telling me that I have a fault on my voice line. Which is working 100% then they I ask them about the Adsl and they have no clue they tell me they only deal with voice.

I phone telkom this morning and now I am Waiting for them to get back to me... funny how the billing cycle stated onth the 26th when i connected and I am still not connected almost 2 weeks later.

*edit* just got an sms saying my fault has been closed
