How many Ebucks do you earn??

Between 1000EB and 1500 EB per month.
So reading what I have so far, is getting an FNB CC the best way to up your EB rewards?
And then doing your monthly spend using the CC?

Question:
Since I am on RL5, I get 40% off Kulula flights also.
Does that have to be bought with my ebucks to get the discount or can I use my CC to pay for it?

I think you need to pay 5000 ebucks per booking, the rest can be CC

Why wouldn't it be worth it if you're knocking off 40% of the cost regardless?

People must stop spreading misinformation only using your eB on Makro voucher. Use it for whatever the fsck gives you the most value. To anyone reading this, don't listen to these clowns!

Based on my spending pattern I'll only earn around 1800 - 2400 eBucks on RL5 Gold Cheque :) I say will be as I'm only signing up the weekend.

People earning upward of 10 000 must really spend quite a bit...

First month I reached RL5, get around R300 worth a month. Need to spend more at the partners to get more eB.
But the 40% discount will help a lot

Minimum of 10 000 eB on "default" expenses.

Normally more like 12 000 - 13 000 eB though.

****

Easiest way to get this...

Joint Account
Credit Card - Pay everything you can via CC, and online when you can (Snapscan etc), Rates & Taxes everything.

Only things I pay via EFT/Debit are the things where I have no other option. School Fees, Insurance, Cellphones (will switch to prepay soon).

Default Costs I have to pay...

Rates & Taxes via Easy Pay is R1000.
Electricity is R1000
Crystal Web via Snapscan - R429 odd
Telkom via Online - R680 odd.

So that's 1500 eB from Electricity already and another R2109 going to increase total spend and indirectly pushing up the 15% benefit from Petrol & Checkers.

It's not hard when you play the game.

Oops looks like I've started a debate about the airfare discount :P
Let me clear that up then...

Booking during the festive season when base prices are inflated quite substantially makes a whole lot of sense since the biggest cost is the base fare.
I checked last night for a return ticket using my discount.
Base fare was around R2500 and tax\vat around R700 (can't remember exact figures but feel free to check yourself)
My discount then would be R1000 with the total cost being R2200 instead of R3200.
Quite a decent saving right?

Using the discount any other time of the year however does not make much sense to me.
Base fare then is usually pretty low with the other stuff making up the majority of the cost.
Discount will then be minimal since the base fare for a single flight then will be around R200 only.

Which investment account do you guys use?
I am thinking of getting the Flexi Fixed Deposit to get the 2500 points.
