Haven't had a single incident myself. Don't take changes, stay away from cars. Make sure everyone's stopped at an intersection before you pull away. See trouble before it happens. You don't save a few minutes in traffic. Its a bit more. You spend more time with your family. You can get up at 6:45 , and still be at the office 25km away at 8am. Most dangerous thing about motorbikes is how you ride.

That's great for the people you know. But there are people who have never ridden a bike in their life, and other vehicles would present a real danger to them on a daily commute. Coming in here and just telling someone to get a bike to get to work is retarded...
You obviously don't start with big bikes. You go through the training, you do track days and get knowledge of how to ride in traffic and how to deal with it and how to control a bike.

Kinda the opposite environment I'm aiming for. Everyone that I know that ends up there gets involved in testing and that's what they end up doing for a long while. Also I've heard you have to put extra hours there and all those perks are just there to keep you at work.

If your worried about working overtime you may not want to be a developer. It's the one industry where deadlines are usually imposed on you. Not all dev companies but there's a lot that will expect it from you.

It's not about over time, it's about being expected to work like a slave and their perks exist to keep you there at work. MD4E has gone into detail about that place.
Latest I've heard is there isn't enough parking, you park somewhere else and take a shuttle. Something out of Silicon Valley

Oh lord...here we go with this argument again.
In the company mentioned, they do not want their team leads and up to be technical. So developer team leads, software development managers, project managers, etc. do not need to understand software or anything technical. It's an interesting way to run a dev house.
As for what you're worth, I would estimate between 15-25k a month as a starter.

****ty project managers - 80% of the industry. Usually disguised as a dumbass working for the client which is their way of keeping tabs on the project. Also a very effective tool (no really) used for blaming the contractors and making them miserable.
Overtime, missed deadlines, walkouts and eventually the services of agile consultants guaranteed!
Next we have the other 10% of the industry - startups that desperately want to impress their client. Willing to bend over its devs and the client knows it.
Overtime is a given. But you are there because you believe in the cause and love software! Money is nothing but a thang! Amright?!
And finally the remaining 10% where all is well, everyone is your bro and also your buddy, **** just works and life is amazing.
Except they don't pay well. They don't have to because people will rather live on 2 Minute Noodles than suffer another day under a corporate toolbag.
...and that's what you have to look forward too.
