How much do you pay for rent?

I'm posting down the road from you; Old Mutual.

Where in CT?

I am presently looking for a place in the larger town vicinity. 1 / 2 bedroom place for a maximum of R8k per month. That is not going too great.

My usual rent was R6940 in Villa Italia, Century City. This was a bargain considering most folk there are looking at R7500+ for the same 2 bedroom place. Tw'as a 64sqm place.

I am posting from the same building as you, lol.

Why not consider goodwood? Alternatively Rondebosch East?

I moved out of my Century place to recenter in town;I need to live in town to pursue something I'm dying to.

R1800 per month minus lights/water. Moved out of my parents house and am now renting a double-garage from some old Charou couple in Chatsworth. The aunty makes a top chows every day, and she does all the laundry and irons the clothes. Weekends the ballie buys a bottle and we dop and play thunee till midnight with the local laaitjies.

R6600/m 2 bedroom place in Observatory (I share with a friend so we pay R3300 each) Elec excl.

Reason: Close enough to uni that I only need a full tank of petrol every 3-4 weeks

R4k7 - Amberfield, centurion, 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom + garage.

Last yr, also wasn't sure about staying in jhb due to job, R5k - Sunninghill, jhb, 1 bedroom bachelor, 1bathroom with huge shower lol. i think that places rent went up to 5k25

I wanna buy a place nxt yr if things look good/stable. :)

R5000 water included (bargained down from R5500)
2 bed room, 2 bath room, 90-something square meters iirc. On the 6th storey in a flat in The Willows, Pretoria.

I pay R3100 a month for rent including water and electricity. I always believe that rent is money down the drain.

R4000, on a vineyard cottage. Roughly 80sqm, maid twice a week, DStv Premium, 1Mbps (line only), fully furnished (Biggie Best style), incl Water and Elec. 3 dogs = worth it.
Thats pretty sweet. Not much happening in SB though except for student thing though afaik.

R13000
Melrose, jhb.

Crazy; why pay that much to rent?

Crikey! So you guys pay about R36K a month to rent a flat? Must be stunning.

Not strictly STB actually, Helderberg (half way between STB and Somerset). So, I have the best of both cities. I'm an outdoor type too so the riding and trail runs are all I need. In summer, mind you.

Is fantastic. Looking at those pics reminds me it has a putting green, swimming pool and tennis court I have use of. Too bad I don't play Tennis or own a putter/wedge. However, crime is pissing me off. Its actually just bergies having a look though my car ever other night... still irritates me.
