The value of Bitcoin is largely speculative and varies wildly on a daily basis. How much do you think a single bitcoin should be worth?

All the money in the world / 21million = my valuation:D

With the amount of energy it is wasting to produce nothing tangible, A negative amount....

It is worth what the market is willing to pay for it. We will not see its true value until over 90% of the purchasers of bitcoin are doing so to use it as a currency, instead of what we have now where 99% seem to be buying it to speculate on the price.

Once all the speculators have moved on to the next thing it will land at its true value.

My guess is its value should be high to validate the massive energy cost of transacting it. It could be a way of moving large amounts of money around. As it currently stands it can never be viable for smaller transactions. Actually considering all the flaws it should be valued at zero.

If they could solve the current batch of issues that view might change, but for now the fact that a single transaction uses more power than a small household does in a month is just ludicrous. Bitcoin needs to adapt or die and make way for the next get coins that have solved the technical issues it has failed to fix.

The monthly salary of Kevin's Mini-me. You know, the one that ask stupid questions.

shouldn't one bitcoin be worth one bitcoin?

expressing it as a value in another currency suggests it will run in parallel to other systems, and my understanding was that it was to take over the entire monetary system

Agreed.

50k end of the year, virtual money ftw

US dollars is printed out of thin air and backed by faith that the gov will pay back its debt.

FED bank does not keep track of how much dollars they print, and they buy gov bonds also.
