A kettle... as compared to a kettle?

My english 2nd language is dropping me now. Don't know how to put it better, but the kettle is less in my way on the stove, than on other surfaces.

Electric kettle generally stays plugged in but the one on the stove is probably put inside cupboards (or maybe in a dish drying rack in scullery) if not in use. So, probably more clutter in scullery and not in kitchen. I think that is what he means.

We have a stovetop one as well for when the power goes off but they're so damn inefficient, compared to the electric kettle (or a stovetop on an induction plate), that it rarely gets used.

We also have plenty of counter space.

I tried this trick of yours of putting the kettle on the stove but now the water tastes funny.

Ditto here. I swear wives don't really think much about optimum consumption. Like gurrrrrrrrrrrrl, why the F would you insist I put on 2-3 washing machine cycles after 4pm when solar generation drops..

My wife is the same. Use big appliances before sunrise. Complains when we run aircons when battery is full and we using solar to run aircons.
