We don't earn this much per person/month. I promise you we are doing quite well. Point to be noted that contrary to certain seffrican (especially mybb) standards, we don't buy X7's every other year.

To be a man is to suffer.

Single Man: R30k net will be fine
Once you have a girlfriend/wife, then you have one commitment: now need R50K minimum
Then you churn out a kid: R75k
Then another kid to keep the first one busy: R100k

Now you have three people who wake up each morning and start complaining to you about everything.

In conclusion, the life of a man is the life of suffering.

This is why I advocate for having 3 wives. Out of the three one won't be moaning at any given time so you can go to her

Yeah, but if you look at your rolling monthly average, it's going to be triple the complaints. In fact, even more, because each wife will have two more things to complain about.

Man has tried everything over millennia. There is no escape. To suffer is our lot in life.

Or roll like one of my friends.
Mid-30s, makes THICK tin. No debt. Multi-millionaire. No wife or GF. But a kakhuis vol chicks on call.
Spends 10k or more on a night out without blinking an eye. Girls love partying and when everything gets paid for them.
He knows this and uses it and leverages the kak out of it. Works for him.

I am getting tired just reading about this. If I were to be in a club after 9PM at my age, I would doze off and wake up to find that my credit card has been maxed out.

Se moer, that loud music and all the children would annoy me and I'd have left before 9PM anyway.
 
R50m divide by 25 is still not enough to leave. I'm on pension.
 
It's a bit difficult to say, is this per month?

Like @RedViking I'd say 50k - 100k per month is what you need to have a decent life in SA, with good medical aid, your own vehicle etc. That said there are so many many people that don't earn close to even the lower portion of that spectrum and likely never will, and might be some of the happier people in the country at that. But also true would be that they'd not say no, I mean if you have kids it could mean such a difference in their education choices etc.

What growth this country was at one point generating post apartheid should have been split equitably amongst the people to help us grow a robust middle class, instead the rot consumed it all.
