I agree it is stupid but it does point to the fact that very few people can afford healthcare.
Ask yourself this question, This is important. How much money does the Lotto make? Where are the hospitals, where are the schools?
See sure we can get R20 million and it will solve most problems if not all of them. But the government will never allow you to keep that sum of money. I can imagine your tax per year will be over 50%
But here is a big irony. That is about one million sixty-nine thousand eight hundred ninety-four dollars US.

Our money is toilet paper.
Quite true. It makes an apartment in dubai with 0% income tax and 0% property tax a really attractive prospect.
8 bar in a fixed deposit acc. You gonna pay taxes on that interest. To be honest between 10-20 million, although to match what I have R5 million could do too.
1. My house is almost paid
2. My cars are paid cash
3. I would need to supplement my current income
R5 million getting an interest of 10-11% paid out monthly would be a bit short, but I can live with that.
However R10 million would have me upgrade my house by another 2 million, and then put 8 million in a fixed deposit, which pays me out about R72 000 pm in interest payments at the current interest rate. It will be more than enough, and the spare I can put in a pension which eventually will surpass this amount at retirement.
Never understood the worry about that. Just take 1 or 2% capital out every year to cover any shortfall.8 bar in a fixed deposit acc. You gonna pay taxes on that interest.
