How much sugar are you consuming

SO doesnt have sugar in tea/coffee and i hardly drink tea/coffee anyway. Our domestic is free to use whatever in the grocery cupboard...

results. we use like 1kg bag every 2 or 3 months :D - i think most of it goes into baking

Trust me, your taste buds change. Coffee starts to taste really good without sugar or honey. It takes a few weeks after giving up though for your taste buds to adapt

Started drinking tea without sugar. Always drank tea without milk. Can't stomach filter coffee without sugar and milk though :(

Okay, I am going to start having sugarless coffee's now :D It's gonna be hard trying to keep the sugar away!

5 - 6 cups of coffee a day with 3+ spoons of sugar each

WOAH!!! :O On the sugar side, I use 4 teaspoons of sugar - used to use 5 teaspoons.

I'm sure you are resistant to the caffeine effects (keeping people awake and all). I know I am...Coffee makes me sleepy, used to keep me going at night.

To those who reduced their sugar intake..... what difference did it make? Anything at all? Other than guilt? ;)

Also quit all intentional sugar.
Coffee was easier than expected, but so miss my jelly tots and all sorts:cry:.
A bit hard to avoid sugar added to food, but try and keep to foodstuff at max around 5 gr per 100.

Don't know if it's coincidence, but I don't have to pee as often as before. I can manage it better (don't have to stop on the side of the road that often (longer trips)).

I don't plan on giving up sugar completely but over the last few years I've lowered my intake. I used to have a heaped tablespoon with my cereal and two teaspoons with my coffee but I now have a small level teaspoon with cereal and half a spoon with coffee. Your tastebuds do adapt and I swear everything tastes as sweet now as it did when I went nuts with sugar. Either that or I've lied to myself so often I believe myself.

A 500gram bag of sugar lasts us about two or three months.

I'v been sugar less for many years now and I've managed to get a few people off sugar too.
What I did was lower the quantity of sugar ever so often and also try adding more milk to your coffee.
Coffee with sugar tastes yuck to me now.

I initially lost about 6kg and then my weight stabilised again. Food starts to taste different and things with a lot of sugar take on a sickly sweet taste, while things you didn't think of as sweet before start tasting sweeter.

Caffeine makes you pee more.

We only have Ricoffy at work, that stuff is vile at the best of times, need a coupla spoons of sugar to take off the edge.

The only coffee I can palate without sugar is Jakobs, but don't have that often, even Nescafe at a push.

And caffeine is my precious, so no one is taking that away from me if I can help it.

Minimal amounts found in other things. I haven't even had a sweet or chocolate in 6 weeks.

I have lost 11kg's in that time tho. :D

Corn syrup's in so many food products. AND is genetically modified.

Try putting a level teaspoon of salt into the grounds when you make filter coffee... Makes it much more palatable without sugar.
