Vodacom has announced the effective price per minute of voice calls on its network, and the reduction of data prices over the last year

This is just a rubbish claim,they are using their on-net call promos for which you have to jump through a hoop at a certain time of the day and in a specified time frame for which their costs are virtually non existent to bring down what their actual effective call rates are to people not living in a Vodacom bubble.

A classic case of pulling the wool over peoples eyes.

Their real rates are double this easily,possibly more.

Please no. For now at least. I prefer my mobile connections fast - I can download the big stuff at home using a wired connection. But I am going to flip my lid if mobile speeds drop to 50 KB/s because everybody is torrenting using scarce radio frequency bandwidth. We can talk about uncapped once ICASA made a metric bucketload of spectrum available and it is actually possible to offer uncapped at a reasonable speed.
