How Raru stayed online during Black Friday

We also want to be able to offer Ebucks as we know this would be very beneficial to our customers. We have spoken to them a few times. Hopefully we can manage to get them sorted out in 2017.

Yeah you should have FNB incorporate Raru in one of their polls/surveys so we can show some interest.

would be nice if you can as I got a lot of points I want to spend

Quite fond of Raru, I have always had good customer service from them and out of habit I will check if they stock a product before buying from another retailer.

For Takealot to crash with the amount of dev's and cash they have is kinda pathetic.

Raru has very competitive pricing especially with books, but what kills it for me is that they don't offer free shipping to areas outside main centers. Any savings I could've gotten from them compared with Takealot and the like is made moot due to the R130 shipping.

There is also the Pargo shipping collection option which is R55 less the R35 Shipping Discount. So shipping would be R20 extra. The R20 extra would probably still work out cheaper.

Takealot's normal prices are very competitive with other shops' prices (online and physical). They have great prices on 1 or 2 year old games. Their specials aren't always the best.

Bwahahahahaha!

Also, the Raru guys made Takealot. After they sold it, it gradually got worse and worse. Raru is now what Takealot (Take2) used to be.

+1

Came to post this (like many others I'm sure :p), Koosi has always been a hater.

That would definitely be an option if it was available in my area.

Very interesting, and quite a challenge to keep a solution like that running smoothly under heavy load, especially with cost constraints. If it were up to me, though, I'd be looking carefully at an auto-scaling container based cloud solution, provided there was budget and hosting location wasn't an issue.
