How to load data on MTN Sim Mweb LTE router ?

I have a Huawei router with an MTN SIM card . Its a location based LTE subscription with Mweb.
The 30Gb + 30GB deal. There is a top up facility on the Mweb site where you can buy an expensive data booster.
If I try and load data directly to the SIM card phone number via the MTN app , I get a " this service is not available".

Any workarounds to load data directly to the sim other than via Mweb ?
