How to revert back to android 4.2.2

Hi I've got an update to my vodafone 786 that updated my firmware from jellybean to kitkat. It lags my phone more than the previous version. Is there a way to go back to the original factory firmware?

It shouldn't lag because 4.4 is better with managing memory. Have you tried a factory reset?

He got a Vodafone though.
