How to setup QoS D-link 2740u

Hi guys,

I need some help, i want to know what i should enter as source ip and subnet as well as destination ip and subnet.
Need to setup priority for pc gaming for black ops, port 3074
192.168.1.1-254 range


Please help

From what I understand he needs QOS. Needs the game to have priority over his internet downloads (I guess). But that of course could also be done to a more crude and manual degree using e.g. netlimiter on each pc.

QOS (ingress, egress, CoS...jikes) is a mystery for me, but what I can tell you hoektoe (lol) is that your source ip should be your computer ip and that the destination ip should be the server/game ip.

Dean , i have done the port forwarding. The question is, what should i put in as destination ip? Can i for example put in my WAN ip that mweb has assigned me, thus any traffic that goes throug prot 3074 from my pc's to router to WWW will get priority?

No, adding the WAN ip will not work.
either get the ip/dns (if it allows it) of the server you are connecting to, or just make it for all networks 0.0.0.0

I cant see the pic, and i am very lazy at the moment, so havent googled your devices capabilities. But i assume its limited

I have open ports, check with portforward but still seem to have troubles for steam to just update. I have used netlimiter to check, initially is tries to connect to alot of ip's with port 27000-27050 ( which are open) and then it just says connection closed

Outgoing ports are not affected by port forwarding that mainly governs incoming ports on a NAT device. I would suggest you factory reset your router so that everything is back to default again. You can also try deleting your clientregistry.blob file in the main steam folder. Then restart steam and see if the updates work now. (Who is your ISP by the way?) Then you need to set up your ADSL account on the router again. If steam still does not update, then some firewall on your PC might be blocking some traffic. Do you use any firewall software or torrent/peer blocking software like Peer Guardian?

Mweb uncapped 4mb. I have disable windows firewall completely. Seems to working now since i put my pc ethernet directly into router. have 2740u router, can ppp pass through firewall setting have effect? Can mweb protected access have effect?
