How to use Cell C 3G internet on your PS3

1. run a LAN cable from the back of your PC to your ps3 2. connect to cell c internet 3. go to settings on windows xp and look for 'network connections' 4. open this folder 5. make sure your LAN connection between your pc and ps3 is connected 6. you should see 'cell c' under dial-up 7. right click on this icon and select 'properties' 8. click on the 'advanced' tab 9. tick the top box under 'internet connection sharing' 10. select your LAN connection if it asks you what connection you want to share your internet with 11. now right click on your LAN connection and select 'properties' 12. scroll down to 'internet protocol', click on it, and select 'properties' 13. make your ip address 192.168.0.1 - if this clashes with another item on your system, then change the 1 at the end to something different 14. subnet mask is 255.255.255.0 15. default gateway is 192.168.0.1 16. preferred DSN server is 192.168.0.1 17. alternate DNS server is 8.8.4.4 18. click ok 19. now go over to your ps3 and access network settings 20. let it detect your configuration automatically 21. do an internet test and you should be ready to go!(-:

please note that there are two other ways you can connect your ps3 to cell c internet. instead of running a lan cable between your pc and ps3, you can connect them wirelessly if your pc supports wi-fi. the other way is to plug your usb modem into a compatible wireless router and then connect it to your ps3 wirelessly or with a lan cable. you may need a netbook, laptop or pc to set this connection up initially, but once it's set up all you need is the router to establish a connection with your ps3.
