How would you rate your culinary abilities? Are you a whiz in the kitchen or do you need to be inebriated in order to appreciate your efforts?

Boring.
It gets awfully repetitive to make dinner every evening.
This one doesn't want this, that one doesn't want that.

I was forced to learn how to cook properly since me mum and wife passed on. It's also much more difficult cooking tasty vegetables as opposed to just frying some chops/chicken.

You'll finish your serving but it won't blow your mind. I used to experiment a lot back when I was single.

Food has never interested me that much that I want to swear like Gordon Ramsay, I do that anyway and pay someone else if I feel like a fancy gourmet meal that takes hours to prepare.

Looking at the votes on here it seems most people seem to think they are approaching Gordon Ramsay territory.

Gordon Ramsay is a legend. I admire that guy's culinary ability and particularly his work ethic. He is no slouch.

IMO options 4 and 5 should be swopped around, but that's my opinion... :)

My wife hates making food so I'm the one that has to cook. I follow recipes, and YouTube channels for best practice of preparing certain dishes and they improve with trial and error. My cooking is even better with a beer in hand!

Still, I think my cooking is between option 2 and 3...
