Not related to the question but what you could do is get a notebook cooler, http://www.rebeltech.co.za/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=7_42

Otherwise you could try doing it yourself:

http://www.insidemylaptop.com/disassemble-hp-pavilion-dv7-notebook/

Word of advice make sure you put all the screws in the same place you took them out, so for example put a white cloth or a piece of paper down and make a sort of diagram of where you took the screws out. http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_qPqW7iNfK1w/S_wkAkFl-QI/AAAAAAAAAmA/E0B6Ar5ZyKU/s1600/IMG_5419.JPG

Not sure where you could get the fan from, you could try emailing nick@ngrcomputers.co.za and see if he can help you.

Otherwise you'll probably have to import it or go to a local computer shop and see if they can help you.

the easier option is to use an ice tray
number each of the "holes" (cant think of a proper word) in the ice tray 1 to 20, or what ever number there are.

as each screw, or group (ie from ram cover / hd cover) come out, place them in the ice tray in sequence of removal.
when done, reverse the sequence when closing up the laptop.

Thanks for that, just wanting to know if there is someone that can do this for me, as trying to take this laptop apart is mission, also all the videos i have seen and tried to look for, even the ones in this thread are not for my exact model.

You are highly unlikely to find a video for your exact model.

What you can do is look for a Youtube video on a HP Pavilion DV7 video, then look and see if the back of the laptop in the video is identical to yours, then most if not all the screws and components should be in the same place.

Laptops are divided into models of models of models, this is why you have a very slim chance of finding a video of your exact model. Most of the DV7 laptops are based on the same design, it's just the specifications that are different.

Here is an extensive full disassembly of a DV7 laptop:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WLQ98LwNUKI

If the back of the laptop in this video doesn't look like yours then you can try looking for a different video with some or all of the keywords of the following: "HP Pavilion DV 7 disassembly"
