HP ProLiant MicroServer

Busy uploading my updated Nvidia firmware for the microserver - Fixed streaming problems, video tearing, and updated to Eden.

Also decided to go with a minimalist ubuntu install, so we don't have openoffice(libreoffice), firefox, or any of the regular desktop bloat taking up space.

Boot time is ~40 seconds, + 30 seconds to login ( can be disabled )

Tested with 1080p playback by USB external as well as network streaming.

DLNA works 100%

Ghh, pc crashed overnight, going to restart the upload now. 400mb to go

I bought my Gigabyte - http://www.gigabyte.eu/products/product-page.aspx?pid=3949#ov from the PostmanPot :) Should be better priced than that ASUS you are looking at.

Can anyone comment on the following, if they are good ect?

These are the things I'm looking at getting for my build. I was looking at a GT210 but I don't think it will be decent enough to play full hd content.

Grand Total: R2542.79

dude i had this thing in my hand at cafejava but they put doubt in my head that it would not work.

is it brc2 something ?

did you test it on the Harmony 650

The harmony will only learn the commands from that control, not the full mce remote and you cant program new commands.
Rather get a mce capable reciever, this one is ok for basic commands.

I have one and use my harmony 650.
It works well to browse, play, pause, skip fast forward, etc.
I know people say it doesn't have the functionality of an mce remote but it works for me.
