HP ProLiant MicroServer

Hi,

I'm using the N40. The PCI-e slot has been 'stretched' somewhat. The AMD card being used had to be customised to fit...now it appears some force on the card resulted in this.

Problem is that now I want to replace the AMD card with a NVIDIA 620, but the new card is not being picked up AT ALL and appears not to fit in the slot!

I would like if anyone has experienced this & what to do.

Size count...AMD's bigger...? LOL!

Are you sure the motherboard is slid all the way into the housing and the securing screws are properly secured?

Have you removed the motherboard from the chassis and verified that it is a slot problem (i.e. the card fits properly in the slot on the bare board), or is it just the distance between the slot on the chassis mounting for the card?

I have removed MoBo completely & inserted card, with same results.

AMD card continues 2 work.

NVIDIA card works in another machine.

FWIW, I've installed the logmein hamachi vpn service on my HPMS and my laptop. No more ip address issues.

Anyone know who are Cyberdyne Systems resellers? I am looking for something.... for my N36L.

I am getting so frustrated with the OE3 PCM audio dropouts. Anyone know of a solution?

Will someone please make me an offer on my Logitech Harmony 700 :o

Used it twice. Still has the wrapping protection on. Like new. Graduated to Flirc and never had the patience for setting up the remote.

Trying to install Openelec and XBMCBuntu and I'm getting the following error when booting either of those OS's from USB..."SYSLINUX 4.06 EDD LOAD ERROR - BOOT ERROR". Anyone know what is causing this?

I thought it may be my 8GB flashstick but that still works fine in my laptop.

If you have created a bootable drive to install openelec from make sure the drive is called openelec, that could be the issue, not sure about xbmcbuntu
