HP ProLiant MicroServer

Okay so I received the SSD today and planning to install once I get home

Going to clone the OS HDD to the SSD

Has anyone done this successfully?

Any issues to know about before I install the SSD?

Are you planning on putting that SSD into the 3.5" bracket? You may be in for a surprise to discover it won't fit when using the SSD 2.5" to 3.5" bracket that's sometimes included.

Putting it on the top where the cd rom is meant to be

Any good cloning software so I don't have to do a fresh windows install? I tried Easeus it cloned the drive but doesn't boot up even when bios is settings are changed

Received my 4TB just now, quick question will it be supported on the N36L? (i.e. the full capacity of the drive)

Don't really want to partition

I think it will be fine if formatted in GPT and not your boot drive.

Anyone in the Bellville area that can help me with a key to open the microserver? Lost mine...

Or can one buy it separately from Esquire maybe?

Anyone with a Gen8 MicroServer needing more RAM, PM me. I have 4 x 8GB RAM modules that I'm not using as I sold 2 of my Gen8's.

Help!
My mum's ProLiant needs a new remote control - what are you guys using?

If it's been tested with the HP ProLiant + OpenELEC and works, please let me know!

If you buy a Flirc you can use any remote, even some old DVD player remote you having lying around.
