HP ProLiant MicroServer

Can someone help with this error. I installed windows 8 but when trying to update to 8.1 it gets stuck on - getting devices ready 46%. Then restarts and restores to win 8.

Do you have the latest bios? I had the same problem with server 2012 R2 and the bois update fix it.

This is with a new flash drive

How many files are supposed to be on the flash? I see 2 on it

You should have 14 files on the flash drive.

Run the setup file and browse to C:\SWSetup\SP64420\USB Key\ and run the HPQUSB.exe

Once its done you should have 14 files on the drive. Make sure your folder settings is set to display hidden and system files.

I followed your instructions and still there is less than 14 items

Edit: Finally got the Bios updated and it only needed the files above
Now to see if the 8.1 upgrade goes through smoothly and to get rid of that AHCI error

Thanks for the help guys

After installing a fresh copy of Windows 8.1, i'm still having the issue of video stuttering

What else could be wrong?
Could that AHCI error also be a cause?
GPU? More RAM?

Annoyed as I spent the entire past weekend reinstalling and setting up only to have the same issue

HP Proliant Microserver N36L
Windows 8.1
Nvidia Geforce G210
4GB RAM

Open Task Manager, click the CPU header to sort by CPU usage and then post screenshot.
Something may be hogging processor.

So my GPU is acting up again and hitting temps of over 100°c :(
I think it's finally fried, and time to replace!

It's an ASUS Nvidia GT210 actively cooled card, but what can I replace it with?
Should I stick with Nvidia, or shoud I rather use AMD Radeon?
Do the passively cooled cards run cool enough?
Any suggestions?

Any thoughts on this card - EVGA GeForce GT 730 (LP) @ NIVO for R849.00?

Would it be worth putting in a SSD?
Just to use as the boot drive and to run Kodi
Got an offer for a Intel 240GB SSD - R950
