Anybody know the size of allen key that comes with the hp n54l? Mine seems to have disappeared.

It's not a std Hex Allen key, it's a spline Torq drive. Not sure of the size, could check tonight. Probably a T4 or T5

If anybody still wants one someone on Carbonite is selling a N40L with a broken ethernet port for R500, which I think is a major bargain.

Just be careful with this. Same thing happened to mine, which then also resulted in complete motherboard failure.

Power surge which killed the onboard NIC? How long after did the motherboard die?
Decided to chance it. Picked it up last night. Figured worst case I have a spare psu for my two other microservers.

Seems the onboard nic works as well.

So nothing wrong with it? I hope he didn't accidentally switch the broken one with the working one and only figures it out after he sells the other.

Yeah. Coz i didn't check the onboard nic. Then today noticed it was lighting up so plugged in the cable and it registered.

Maybe he did do that. If he did I'll return it though.

Well then you scored a bargain I think, I sold my N40L with broken NIC and no HDD for double what you paid the day before he posted that ad.

damn MS been giving old lady some real grief

lotsa BSOD since formatting the SSD and putting on Win7 (ran Win8 fine before the format)
