I think someone pointed out that your cooling block will be too big.
-2TB Drives (Is 5900RPM Okay for HD Content?)
I ordered mine!
will use it as a NAS with UnRaid.
if anyone want to buy a license with me ,please inbox me![]()
The silent heatsink is too large, that card won't fit. You can almost only go with active cooling if you go nVidia - The MSi seems like the best option if you want GT520
Mostly.
If you use and older NVidia card, use XBMCLive.
if you use a newer card, not yet supported by the 'Live built, try openelec. (I use it on the GT520, for example).
If you love to fiddle run XBMC on top of Linux.
If you have no imagination and/or are in accounting, run XBMC on Windows.
There is a mod for the PS3 remote: http://wiki.xbmc.org/index.php?title=HOW-TO_Setup_PS3_BD_Remote
What is everyone's opinion on the 2tb Samsung F4 5900RPM drives that esquire has?
won't that one make a lot of noise though?
btw thanx for the help guys, i'm a total noob at this stuff
edit:
Found a MSI GT520 for R537. I hope this box has the right brackets.

I think im going for those same drives, unless Esquire Run another 3TB Special.
How difficult is it to get a Remote to work with XBMC though? Is there anything I should watch out for when buying a remote?
What do you guys recommend, as this is the only thing i'm still worried about - messing around with xbox scripts and keypress emulators and crap
I bought an Isonic remote .

paid about R70, works out of the box with XBMC, the receiver is a bit big , but i placed it nicely next to my tv....don't think it looks ugly.
\Thank you!

only 66 bucks and I think the big receiver will work well for me, If I go ahead with Jannie's brilliant plan to hide it insde the HP itself
(I'm now thinking of putting it behind the steel mesh instead)
I just hope the Harmony works well with it when I purchase it later on.
HP MicroServer: R1200 (hp store)
GT 520: R537 (IkonicIT)
2GB RAM (DDR3): R199 (Matrix Warehouse)
Remote: R66 (IkonicIT)
2TB Samsung F4 HDD: R550 each. (Esquire)
I think that is VERY Reasonable actually.
