HP ProLiant MicroServer

Is there any way to access root on openelec WITHOUT USING PUTTY. I need to copy a file which is inside a folder but unable to do so because I dont know how to use putty and I think its ****ing stupid that I cant access that part of the drive without using that stupid putty software.

Use the xbmc file manager to move the file into one of the samba shares. Which file, anyway, and what path?
 
Wondering if I should pull the trigger on 3.1.0 ... x64 build :D
 
Why is the MicroServer so expensive lately? I was considering buying a month or so ago when PCINT was selling them for about R1400. Pitty I waited too long. It is closer to R2600 now.
 
We just signed a purchase order with HP this morning for 1770 units which is 40ft Container as a special build to order , stocks should arrive in the second week of July although they might not be at the old pricing levels they going to be lot better than the current pricing, We talking to HP to see if we can reduce the pricing on the current stock we have in-stock and will keep you posted if they give us the go ahead to do so.( not many units only about 50 currently in stock).

Glad you guys are actively trying to get them in at a good price, the current pricing in SA is just crazy.

That's good news. Looking to get one for an office NAS solution.

Now only if hard drives would get cheaper :(

I way prefer the N54 for nas boxes, they dont need the extra processing power so its great news.
 
Can anybody confirm that openelec 3.0.6 working flawlessly on this machine.. I remember 3.0.1 giving me all sorts of problems earlier this year...
