HP ProLiant MicroServer

Have any one else ordered these HP Proliant MicroServers from BiosOnline yet?

I'm just wondering about the service level from them? I was actually impressed on how fast they responded to my stock inquiry.

Yes. I ordered another one on Saturday afternoon. Unfortunately I had to wait until Yesterday for them to confirm stock. BUT... it is currently standing in my kitchen here in Centurion :D

Really amazing service from them.

Regardign the support for 3tb's , I am aware of a number of guys on the oz and usa forums running hitchi and wd 3tb's in the micro servers.

anyone managed to get hdmi out audio working on the openelec rc1 and 1.1 this far, with my settings on 0.99.5 it works, but using the same settings on 1 and 1.1 I still dont get any audio.

Anyone aware of some additional settings that I need to teak?

I am awaiting delivery of a GT520 then I will give openelec a try. I have a ATI6450 in my other one which did not want to work with the Generic Openelec, so it is currently running a vanilla XBMC installed from a live image.

Tested the current stable generic build (OpenELEC-Generic.i386-1.0.1.tar.bz2) on my Microserver with an AMD 6450 GPU. It runs a 17GB 1080P MKV movie smoothly, even with post-processing set to always enabled. HDMI Audio also working

The source frame rate is 24FPS

Need some help please :

I'm looking for a program to instal on my old HTC Touch 2 Phone(running WM 6.5) to enable it to control my HTPC(on HP ProLiant Micro Server) running XBMC.

I've downloaded a few old remote control programs but none seems to function properly.

Any links/ideas to a possible working program ?

Thanks

And just last night I replaced a 6450 with a GT520... Anyway, I will give Openelec a try again tonight.

Thanks.. I also installed openelec generic last night and it works quite well.. I have a ATi HD5450 GPU...

I still have Win7 installed on a HDD, but removed the HDD and installed openelec on a USB drive to test..

quick question to all you using openelec? You can run sickbeard on there?

re my previous problem.. (sluggish performance in browser) I installed chrome when I got home. I opened up both IE and Chrome with SABnzbd and the difference was mind boggling.... almost ridiculous actually.

IE sucks so hard

Why don't you just access sab + s/beard from another PC on you LAN?

IE9 is considerably better in terms of Javascript performance, but it is still nowhere compared to Chrome.

What is the suggested OS to run on the HP Microservers? OpenElec?

can you elaborate on this please?

I currently have SAB and SB running on the same HP pc, which stays on all the time. My PC is in my room so I dont wanna have to leave ANOTHER pc on as well...

unless Im totally confused

You can view SABNZBD and Sickbeard from your PC in your room while its running on the HP Pc.

Wanted to buy my MicroServer today, but biosonline's website is down. Is there another place I can order from online that is reputable and has them for around the same price?

Phone Springbok Information Systems on 021-8534444 (Strand)

Last I checked they asked R1400

I'm getting mine from Matrix Head Office in Alberton for R1620.00
Figured that I would pay that much with all the shipping and everything from somewhere else.
