Regarding running headphones from the microserver which without a dedicated soundcard, lacks a 3.5mm jack.
Just got my USB soundcard from Dx.com R23. Plug and play on windows. Will see how it works on openelec when I get home.
Quality and volume is as good as the built in sound on my PC. So for me it will be good enough.
Anyone know what settings I need to direct the sound output to the usb soundcard?
You probably need to run aplay -l to list the sound devices, and then use plughw:x,y depending on what output you get. Guessing though.
**** List of PLAYBACK Hardware Devices ****
card 0: Generic [HD-Audio Generic], device 3: HDMI 0 [HDMI 0]
Subdevices: 1/1
Subdevice #0: subdevice #0
card 1: Set [USB Headphone Set], device 0: USB Audio [USB Audio]
Subdevices: 1/1
Subdevice #0: subdevice #0
1,0 in your case. Custom output, plughw:1,0
Hi guys, yesterday switched my display to my media centre (on tV) (Haven't worked on it for weeks), but looks like my pc is in sleeping mode??? How do you get out of sleeping mode, as my pc is definitely on, and from sabnzbd, I can see that it is definitely downloading. I still using just keyboard, running openelec with XBMC.
I have the same problem. If my machine boots without the TV being on, then I get no display on the HDMI port. Normally I just reboots it, as mine boots in about 30 seconds.
Hi guys does anyone know if openelec 1.02 auto updates to the betas? mine has not updated at all.
