HTC DESIRE HD

Question for the experts! I am often on standby for Search & Rescue and have to be able to receive incoming SMS's. Is there any way that the SMS notification could be made LOUDER? Difficult to hear in an average noisy environment!

is a Desire HD an Android phone? and does it support android apps - Due for an upgrade soon.

Why not set it to vibrate when its in your pocket? Much better than the loudest notification.

As amazing as this phone is, the speaker could be much better. Vibrate is your best bet.

Fully agree with you.

However, some of the notification sounds really do sound loud & crystal clear, while other sounds muffled.

I'm using Epsilon as default and it's not too shabby.

You can download EXTRA LOUD tones from sites like Zedge that make it much easier to hear your notifications as well as ringtones.

haha....no, don't need it.

Also use vibrate, just works better.
When the phone is on you but when it isn't the loud tones help a lot. Seems like a ****ty speaker has always been an issue with HTC phones.
