What i did was i got a app called Gmote from the app market and installed it
then i went to www.gmote.org and downloaded the gmote server and installed it on my pc , then shared the data i wanted to view on my phone through the gmote server settings.Then i opened the app on the phone and searched for the active server i setup through the browse button and boom i can view videos on the phone.
Just make sure you have rock player or vplayer or similar installed to view the files and of course wifi is setup :)

Garmap for mobile rated as the best Navigation software for South Africa with real comprehensive info on local traffic, proper restaurants & coffee shops (not just at airports kingrob :) ), local events, where to stay, shopping centres & grocery stores, ATM's, schools, leisure, hospitals, doctors etc.

Anyone tried it out?
Opinions?

So, is this the best "Navigation for Southern African" king of kings or what?

I use a Garmin for nav. But for Android, does it not chow through data?

Zoner, Im still happy with the Route 66 navigation software, does what it says on the tin....still waiting for a points of interest update, but not critical.

But with the internet just a tap away on your Desire HD, Im sure you wont struggle to find the local Spur. :p
 
so my oriental package finally arrived after almost a month of waiting...but the person forgot to pack the spare batteries!!!going to email him today so hopefully he will send them...otherwise I'm pretty happy with the stuff

Looking at the Route 66 Navigation again....the funny thing is that some points of interests, like Community, is 100%, while others - like banking, petrol stations, restaurants - are not correct. Wonder what's up with that and if we can download and install an update for the software. I'm gonna go search the interwebs now.

I used it for 30 days, worked very well.
 
I don't ... but it can only be better than the rubbish that came with the phone.

Where'd you find ? Doesn't seem to be in the market.
 
Working... works ok... I see it also has a traffic subscription... will be interesting to see if it works tomorrow.
