HTC DESIRE HD

Sure, that is your'e ex-spert opinion. That's the thing about certain MyBB "consumer item" fanatics's. They only believe what they want to believe and punt their own "ownership", that is until the next fad strikes home.

Hi I am Penguin, been keeping well?

Hi guys, need some help my microsd card got corrupted and I lost all the original data supplied with the card. Anybody got any ideas as to where I could get the data from that was supplied with the card? By the way I am with MTN. Thanks

Just wanna say thanx to Shads for the HTC Desire HD cases.

Awesome, I really appreciate you going the extra mile.

Big ups to you

What data? Far as I know there isn't much on the card out of the box, apart from a .pdf user manual and an outdated version of HTC Suite... which is useless anyway.

So I after 4 weeks, my phone has finally been returned with a new screen. No more stuck pixel. Unfortunately, however, my GPS no longer seems to work. I've tried google maps, co-pilot, even an APP called GPS Status. I get a rough location from cell tower triangulation but no satellite lock. If I go into co-pilot, after 20min I am still left with no lock. Every now and then it half picks up a single satellite but thats all. Anyone else had this problem before? GPS used to work before the repairs so I'm thinking that something happened during repairs. I have even tried restoring to factory default all to no avail. I really really don't want to have to send it back again! Anyone experienced something similar before?

hi all, wicked thread! (and loooonnnggg!) so my dilemma is such..i have bberry, keen on an iPhone 4, now discovered HTC Desire HD... what to friggin do?? i've tried browsing through the thread for any objective decisions on iPhone 4 versus DHD and the online reviews are sketchy and would love to hear an opinion from somebody who has had both..? really appreciate it...itching for DHD but apple marketing has me doubting myself..and i own a macbook too so not too sure if all apple is the way to go..any interface issues with DHD and Mac OS?

as I cannot comment on how well Android gets on with Mac OS I can say this

I have the latest generation of iPod Touches, and as far as user experience is concerned I can safely say that it is identical to the iPhone 4. I do love the interface but it gets abit boring at times. my Current phone is the Desire HD, and I love it, as far as user experiences go, I much prefer Android with HTCsense over iOS. I know that this isn't an objective answer but at the end of the day, when you're comparing two similar smart-phones (iPhone 4 and DHD) you cant be objective.

thanks crazymonkey, i understand it's difficult to be subjective and considerin u have xperience both platforms, that's the ideal answer i'm looking for.. looks like its DHD time..almost said GHD but i'm a bleskop so not likely..

Just picked up my DHD - what a wicked upgrade from a Nokia N97 :)

If anyone is in doubt, dont be - you will not be dissapointed. What covers are you guys using for the phone?

Also, I came across the Brut Google Navigation....anyone else using it? If so, any idea how you change the voice....the default voice is very muffled....

Oh and welcome to the club.

And welcome to my sister as well! ("Why have I left myself in the technological dark age 4 so long!?")

Brilliant choice people!

I have a theory that most females with Android devices only have them because of close family members. otherwise they'd just get a BB.

I know a girl with a wildfire, she has one because her brother has one

Try convince a girl to get a phone that doesn't run Angry Birds.

Need help with mms settings on the dhd. Situation is, one contract with dual simcards. Using the Iphone4 and the dhd every alternative weeks. (no flaming please). Mms on the Iphone works but cannot get it to work on the dhd. Been to Vodaworld at midrand this morning but no HTC representative or kiosk and many unhelpful people at vadacare

Just a note everyone: there is a very real danger on Android of corruption of the SQLite database which will result in you losing ALL your SMSs. I recommend installing SMS Backup+ which will upload your messages to Gmail for safe keeping.

Is this happening with all versions of Android?

*I hardly use sms anymore, just using WhatsApp, so not really worried. :)

Originally reported on the Droid running 2.1 but seems HTC is definitely affected on 2.2 as well. Don't know if it's all brands though.

Had supper with a friend last night and realized that HTC Sense looks so much better than Samsung's Touchwiz UI.
