Im really worried that HTC have re-used the DHD design twice now for the Inspire and Thunderbolt, sure you can argue that the DHD is a rip off of the Evo 4G but they clearly look different where it matters. Its kinda sad, if you were a designer there isnt much room for reconfiguring a slate phone device in terms of design.

I wish HTC would just give us our updates. and give the phone market a rest for 3-4months

Just a question, I have some spare paypal dosh in my account, has anyone bought games from gameloft before? any other premium android game markets i can look at? Ive been playing gameboy roms off my phone for a while now, need me some native android games

Just a note here: HTC has given us our updates, it's Vodacom and MTN that are dragging their feet in providing the update OTA.

Mid April, and it's the time taken to add the Sense UI. I've already played around with the beta release.

Struggle with Virgin to get phone

Hi Guys! Been following you for a while on this thread, and my mouth has been watering non-stop! Just one question: Has anyone had success in getting the DHD from Virgin? I've been waiting for 2 weeks now (know some of you waited much longer, don't ask me how!) and they just can't give an ETA for when it can arrive?? Are there any success stories out there concerning Virgin?? Any replies welcome!

My phones screen looks like its been through a war... my Tytn 2 screen didn't look this bad after four years, I think its because its flash to the body

Got my Desire HD on Saturday, bloody brilliant phone, not disappointed with the battery life either, so glad i took this instead of the iphone /galaxy S

It is and happy days with your phone!

HTC Sense is light years ahead from any other custom UI for Android, I realized it when I played around with a Galaxy S and Sony Ericsson X10i. The LG offering looks nasty and el-cheapo, haven't seen Motoblur yet.

LOL - ya - I think customs are trying to meet quota's - ALL of my orders in the last two months have been detained until I provide them with a copy of my invoice and statement

Holy Cow HTC Desire HD is allready at 1.84.707.2 Android 2.2.1.
Pity my phone is still stuck in 1.38.421.1 Android 2.2 world and no I am not rooting this one, I have the original Desire to play with custom roms. Also prefer to have one on HTC Sense for software testing.
Both Cell C and Vodacom don't have updates for me, just wondering did MTN approve any of the OTA's ?

Odd thing is that Cell C approved and pushed the original Desire updates.

We all got ours (well most of us) from eBay. Look for a nice 16 piece pack for about R200 and free shipping.
