HTC DESIRE HD

My thinking is middle of December. The 20 phones that were ordered must all be gone by now & someone mentioned 2 weeks for the next shipment.

As long as we get it before Christmas! :)
 
i got the mid dec crap from MTN in canal walk again .... sigh ... these ppl are pissing me off now!!!
 
has anyone spoken to vodacom direct? ... I should be able to order mine tomorrow hopefully, so will be giving them a call ... I assume they will sell it, and soon hopefully
 
It's such a pity that idiots answer the phones at Vodacom / MTN. Either they don't know that there is an HD, or they want to pawn off another phone, or they just say "I Don't know". What the hell do they know???!!!!
 
Sigh i've run into that so many times i actually spoke to 2 ppl yesterday asking bout the DHD the first person at MTN didnt
know what i was talking about so i just walked over to the next service agent and spoke 2 him and was told mid Dec!

Can confirm this.

When I phoned MTN Retentions, the dude told me he doesn't know about the Desire HD, but he can sell me a HTC Desire. :(
 
according to leaf it is already available to ALL providers. Looks like the providers are to stupid to order it or to update their systems. ... frustrating

finally managed to read through all the pages of this thread, gr8 stuff :)

been doing research for this phone since friday afternoon it still proves to be a beast(with a few hiccups)..

still am convinced to get it and unfortunately due to not being a very patient man, it is killing me.

called about 6 different vodashops/vodacom4u stores, and they all said that first week of december when the new contarcts come out.

i also sent a message to the vodacom account on twitter and they replied saying the phone will be available on contract by the first week of december...

sigh... guess just gotta wait for now..:cry:
 
so by next week then we can have our beast of a phone ... but at least before christmas

I think we have gone way beyond the point of obsession. If this forum was under FBI surveillance we would have all had cavity search by now:eek:
 
Why don't you guys just get the Galaxy S? It's better in almost every single way anyway?
 
Went to the Vodacom shop last weekend and got told "oh, we've got it for ages. In fact, you can get one right now"

Turns out it was the Desire, not the DHD.

Gave up in frustration and told my sister to buy me one in Hong Kong yesterday. I am now R5158.59 poorer and it seems that the DHDs are selling out quickly in HK as well.
 
Got call from MTN on my upgrade - like posted by others on the forum, the answer is as vague as ever: "we should get stock of the DHD within the next week or two"...
 
If you're looking to buy one cash, as opposed to getting one on contract, lab88.co.za have stock.

(but the Desire Z has been delayed *sigh*)
