Engadget's review is a bit negative & the points not really valid.
They had three negatives about the phone :
1. The edges at the side....now I've never swiped my iPhone from side to side, just a quick flick in the middle, so the dude has obviously not used a touch screen display before. And the edges are there to put the phone down on its face if you want to silence it in a meeting - very cool.
2. Battery life.....we all know big screen touch phones suck power like there's no tomorrow, fortunately I've got some first hand experience with my iPhone 3G, so it's nothing new. I've made peace with that. And reading some of the comments from actual owners of Desire HDs, you CAN go for more than a day with light use. If you're a heavy user, just take your charger with you, or put in on the dock (optional).
3. The camera lens that's touching the surface when you put it down....also, reading some of the comments....not true. There is actually a metal strip that protects the camera lens, as some of the Desire HD owners pointed out.
I still think it's the best Android phone money can buy right now & definitely getting one.
