I don't see Mugen making a battery for the DHD. the way the battery slot is designed on the DHD you can't fit a fatter battery into it at all. no dice. sorry.

Well they could just make a U shaped battery with a custom cover, kinda like what they did with the desire ... looks like they just
stuck anther battery on top of the first 1.
the whole back panel of the desire is removable. so with the mugen battery, they just give you a new back panel that fits the fatty battery. the back panel of the DHD is not removable. the plastic cover actually has a part of the antenna in it. I just don't see a way to do it.

I actually thought I'd update my knowledge of the N8, but it's not a worthy phone....only has a 600Mhz CPU (ok, given a seperate GPU) and 256MB RAM. Engadget reckons Nokia should have released it last year if they wanted to capture part of the market again + the software is buggy as hell. No thank you.
just received the following email from lab88 - not going to pay cash though, as I have an upgrade due from Vodacom. maybe I can get my new phone before Xmas?

Its not Leafs fault. HTC can't cope with the demand for the DHD. They most likely ordered 2000 units on only 400 arrived
Yes, but if you follow the HTC (DHD) link on the Mugen site, they state the following:
"Mugen Power is working on the extended batteries for HTc Desire HD and will be releasing them soon! Please subscribe to our HTC Desire HD rss channel to get the news first!"
.... just maybe they will come up with something that will both be practical and provide more juice!

They assured me the stock has been delivered to MtN warehouse but mtn will only release it on the 1st of December and that official they tell me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

MTN is already advertising the Desire HD in their November edition - full page ad nogal.
