Went to lab88 today and picked up my shiney new Desire HD... So far, a awsome handset, bigger than I imagined but works amazing well.

Can't believe it, well I guess if someone has it, it can't be to long till I get mine. ENJOY!

BTW: Called vodashop at vodaworld today. They can't give me a release date of the DHD.
I think I will be nagging them more often now. Will let you know....

The battery should be flat by now, so give us an update.
The battery life surely isn't that bad...? I guess if he doesn't reply then you'll have your answer

No, it isnt!
My thinking is that zamedic popped the battery inside the phone when he unboxed it, switched it on and started playing with it right away (a new battery normally comes half charged), so the phone must be glowing & exhausted by now.

Compared my Desire to boss's Desire HD. I kinda prefer the smaller Desire, but the HD is awesome (8MP camera

Wonder if it's just the default brightness that you need to change?
Much like my iPhone, slide it up till where you're happy, then put it on auto brightness.
