HTC DESIRE HD

My craving for the phone is going into over-drive ...
I am starting to have dreams about posting to this thread using an DHD ....

Yay my dream came true ... this phone is awesome ... definitely worth the wait ... I have already drained the battery playing with it ...

I got it from Nashua Mobile ...
Sent from my Desire HD using MyBroadband Android App

I ordered mine today! Should get it early next week - Can't Wait! And while at it, sold the phone to a Vodacom sales rep! He asked why I wanted it so badly, and I asked him "are you kidding, have you looked at the specs?". He promptly looked at the specs on GSMArena and then told me he's getting one too! Sad that he didn't know about it before, but at least he does now!

Cell C say the don't carry the HTC Brand anymore since the HTC Hero.

Who made that stupid decision?? I hope he/she got fired and CellC is trying to get HTC phones onboard again.

It will be a decision they will regret for years to come.

They say it's because they cannot service them "in-house" as they do not have the expertise and it was costing them to much to outsource the repairs/software upgrades etc...

Why not just send it to Leaf? The phone still carries a warranty from HTC?

I really think CellC is a bit short-sighted here. It's gonna cost them dearly, cos HTC is nr 1 for Windows & Android phones.

*Was so jealous when the Americans got the HTC Evo 4G....but now we're finally getting the "rest of the world" equivalent/improvement.

Voda 4U at Vodaworld still have 3 left. Just been there to get mine. They only received 5 this morning

Make that two left. Just finished applying for mine on contract, and about to get it :)

Leaf would only cover the 1st year but don't the SP's give you 24 months on the handsets on contract?

Why are we waiting!

Eh, I went to Nashua today (no stock) and the man he tells me:
"Why don't you just get the Blackberry Torch or Bold 9700? You get unlimited internet and emails plus you can use messenger all day for free"

Eish, please, somebody remind my why I'm suffering for this things!

Sidenote:
I'm due for an upgrade at MTNSP but my contract with them only ends in March 2011.
Is there a way to get out of this early and still keep my cell number (I need it for my business)?
I know you can port, but was told only possible at the end of the 24 month contract.
Is there like a "buy out" option to end early? I've had it with MTNSP and their service... no more! I will suffer 'til March if I must but I will NOT renew with them!

Think you can upgrade after 20 months with MTN....or, the easy route, go to www.mtnsp.co.za, select Upgrades menu, select the Desire HD and put in your phone number, then it will tell you if you qualify for an upgrade.
