So, I like, most others now have the little bundle of joy that is the DHD :-)

One slight ... challenge ... that I am having, is MMS. I cannot send or receive MMS messages. If I try send one, after a while I get a General network failure message and when trying to download one I get message can't be downloaded. I'm on Vodacom and the MMS settings come pre-loaded. I have checked the settings and they are definitely correct. I had also done the usual thing of trying to send one first, switching phone off and on etc etc. Perhaps its just me, but has anyone else experienced similar problems with MMS on this phone?

:) i just got mine, is it true that i have to charge it first till full then leave on charge for another hour?
 
yes, and you have to sprinkle it with fairy dust and lick the usb port twice.
 
look, if possible, it can't hurt. the basic idea is to have at least 5 or 6 "charge to full and run to completely flat" cycles at the very beginning. after that, let it have a "run completely flat and charge to full" cycle about once a month.

Hi guys ... my batt is really killing me i need more out of it ... i read somewhere in this thread
about charging for 8 hrs and then switching off for 2 min and charging again for 1 hour ...
can anyone give me the full story ... so i can try it and hopefully get my batt to last a bit longer

im thinking of ordering that 1600mHa batt but i really wanna wait for HTC to get a good one
out sigh....

Same here. Ive charged mine over 10 time. i get 140h standby and 4:32 talk time (Avg) Mine doesnt last a full day

Exactly ... its really annoying, seeing as i looooove my phone and cant find a reason not 2 use it ;) which
makes it hard to get my batt to last the whole day.

PS any word on us getting Gingerbread?
 
One thing I have noticed is that games seriously eat battery life... I can browse for ages and use a few %... but a couple of minutes of gaming kills it.
 
I love the phone, but th battery live sucks big time. On the other hand I have to say I have it for a few days and I'm busy exploring the phone and using it extensively
