HTC DESIRE HD

I'm extremely impressed with the phone's wifi hotspot capability & speed.

Used my night owl minutes last night & was constantly getting download speeds of 350 - 375kbps. Very impressed!

The sad bit is that my Vodafone B970 router (with latest firmware) only managed 325kbps a few seconds, before dropping back to 200kbps. Not sure why, but it seems my Desire HD is the better modem between the two.

Four weeks without my Desire HD? No!!!

Yup, going on week 2 now and starting to have withdrawal symptoms .. not ... sure ... how .. much ... longer ... i ... can ... last :)
Nokia E51 is currently sitting on my desk. Odd protruding things from this phone though. People tell me that they are called BUTTONS. Reading the manual on how to use them ... :D

Stupid/dumb question. Tried to find the option to manually change the settings. Please tell me how to get to the option to change it?

Um, don't have my DHD in front of me unfortunately (comment above) :) but if I remember correctly its:
From the home screen: Menu > Settings > Wireless & Networks > Mobile Networks > Access Point Names > MMS.Vodacom

Make sure you Menu > Save after changing the proxy else it won't remember your settings.

Only two more weeks to go....you can do it, Coastalshark!

Using the Nokio will let you appreciate your Desire HD even more, once you get it back. ;)

Today I'm playing with the Google Chrome to Phone Extention app again.

Still amazing that I can find a cool wallpaper, right-click on it and send the link to my phone.

Uber coolness. :)

/cry !!!! I forgot my DHD at home for the first time .... i feel so naked!!! I hope she forgives me and misses
me as much as i miss her :'{

no clue... noticed this morning....I see its quite common that they scratch - and quite a few people remove the plastic cover completely - according to the camera quality thread - it vastly increases picture quality... So at least that makes me feel a bit better.

Yeah, nowadays the phone manufacturers don't even bother to have a sliding lens cover on their phones anymore - and we're talking about 8MP camera lenses!

I refuse to put a bumper or cover on my phone, so I'll just have to be more careful. Already have scratches on the front and back, but it gives my phone character and street cred. :p

I think what might of happened is:
I installed the car mount in my s2000 upside down, at first I didn't notice the hole for the camera in the mount - and put it the way I did because it clips in and out easier in relation to the dash... turned it the right way on Monday after noticing the hole for the lens and that the mount fits better when the camera is the right way around :p
