HTC DESIRE HD

How do you do that?

Hi Rafterman

What i did was i got a app called Gmote from the app market and installed it
then i went to www.gmote.org and downloaded the gmote server and installed it on my pc , then shared the data i wanted to view on my phone through the gmote server settings. Then i opened the app on the phone and searched for the active server i setup through the browse button and boom i can view videos on the phone.
Just make sure you have rock player or vplayer or similar installed to view the files and of course wifi is setup :)
any other issues check www.gmote.com/howto or www.gmote.com/faq

Or, like me, you just get the itch to change all your home screens with different widgets and live wallpaper. Hours of fun. :)

Tell me about it, got my phone a week and I already changed my widgets and shortcuts almost every second day.

Enjoy it, it's part of the fun! :)

I'm now down to only 3 home screens - calendar on the left, HTC clock widget + fav 8 icons in the middle & internet bookmarks on the right. Perfect for me.

The best phone ever! If it could keep me satisfied this long it must be special!!

I have been playing around with this ...

It is very very cool ...

Found a cool DLNA app yesterday... I've been having an issue where my music/cinema room requires me to turn on the projector and mede8er to play music, then turn off the projector to safe on bulb time then when I want to change artists etc, turn the projector back on, etc.... a serious hassle.

This allows me to select a source (PC) and a destination (Networked AV receiver) I can then select what ever I want to play on my cellphone (from the PC share) it then sends it to the av receiver... no need to use the projector or mede8er anymore - and the best part is I can do it from anywhere in the house.

Anyone using Virgin mobile on their DHD? If so what are your internet settings? Thanks :)

When I'm at the office, I just leave the phone plugged in :)

Carry a spare charger, car charger and USB charger and you'll be fine wherever you go!

Seriously though, being away this weekend has shown me how much battery wifi chews.

Have you installed 2.2.1 yet?

Hi roldstar, sorry for the late response, had a hectic day, but here goes :

HOW TO IMPROVE YOUR DESIRE HD'S BATTERY LIFE

Another thing which improved my battery very nicely was to not have flash running all the time ... it is on by default ... set it to On Demand...

Open Default browser -> menu -> settings -> enable plugins -> change to On Demand

How do I install 2.2.1? Update manager tells me that there are no updates (2.2 Vodacom).
