HTC Diamond - Very Irritated!

If there's so much wrong here what phone should I get? I was hoping for the TD but now I think I should start looking for something else?

Well in all honesty, I am the only person I know to have such issues....Everyone else I speak to says the phone is the business and it is faultless....So I wouldnt go on my rants only, do some research and you will get a better idea.

I'm so confused with what to choose now though. Not just that, I'm starting to like the idea of a tytn II. Don't know what else will suit my budget?

Ps don't mean to derail this thread

Well the tytn II is old, there really wouldn’t be much point of getting it unless it is a real bargain or you just really like it, not to mention that the thing is a brick of note.....Look I love the TD, love the way it looks, love the way it feels, love its size, love its features, love its UI, so on so on, it really is an amazing piece of machinery...I have unfortunately had a rough ride with it, but I am sticking by it....Today it has been fine, can make calls fine, have received fine, so I really don't know why it was playing up last night, but I have my eye on it. . .Put it this way, if I have to take it back I will get the same phone, there just is not a phone out there at the moment that can satisfy me like TD does / should. I have also spoken to, along with numerous others on this forum that have had Zero problems with their TD's, so the proof really is in the pud.

The only thing i like about the tytn II is that it has a keyboard. I don't know how well mxit and smsing will work on a touch screen. My upgrade is soon and they both would cost me to pay in R5894 on my topup. Now i'm just worrying about these problems.

I have gotten used to the touch screen, smsing is no harder than it is on a hardware KB...Typing emails etc is to me a breeze and I seldom have any issues....You also have the stylus, which can make typing really fast. I find if i need to send an sms/email in a hurry I use the stylus. Personally I am not fond of the tytn II, as I mentioned it is old and worst off it is massive. I couldn’t imagine walking around with that monster in my pocket....Between the two, you would be a fewl to get the tytn II over the TD ;) But if a hardwarwe KB is essential, you could always look at the touch pro, but then you will pay more.

R5894 is a wack pay in though....You could probably buy the TD for that soon enough. I am not sure what it retails for at the moment, but I am sure it is not far off that.

After my experience with the Imate Jazz Jam, which is basically an HTC product. I will never buy one of their products. Give me a reliable Nokia any day.

Kinda feeling the same....Had Nokia after Nokia and never ever had an issue....My only issue with Nokia is simply that they are boring.
