Hi

Lets call HTC and find out.

According to GSM arena "Coming soon. Exp. release 2009, November"

I expect another +- 3 months on top of the expected release date assumed by GSM arena.

Regards

great! Thanks for the update.

While we're on the topic, what about the Sony Ericsson Xperia X2?

GSMarena says "Coming soon. Exp. release 2009, 4Q" so it seems these 2 phones will come out at about the same time...

So methinks it's time to flog my HD and the wife's Xperia!

Wonder if HTC will relent and make the HD2 Android-capable after all?

Is there a contract under R900pm on which I can get these? or the HTC Hero? How the heck do I find out online - without going into a Vodashop

Leaf called me today to say their HD2s have arrived. R8100-ish, available immediately.

Decisions, decisions.

I'd go for it like a shot, but the micro-USB connection would be such an irrrrrrrritation as I have mini-USB everywhere.

Anyone else going for this?

I bought one from lab88 last week. R8200. It's a bit pricey but so far it's serving me well. It's kinda like my previous iPhone, but a bit more grown-up and business oriented. I am missing all the apps though. I'm finding it difficult to find 3rd party apps for this phone.

Overall, I don't know if it's worth the R8200, but at least it's cheaper than a iPhone 3GS and I personally think it's a bit better. I don't think it will stand up to the next iPhone coming out next year, but then again, I don't even want to know what that thing is going to cost.

There's also a VERY strong rumor that when Windows Mobile 7 is released next year it will be a free upgrade for the HTC HD2. So this phone may get better over time, and that's very interesting considering how nice it is already.

Great phone that! I'm running it's ROM on my Diamond 2 - some really cool integration.

So it really doesn't have video calling?

IIRC - there was a mybb article with Vodacom (or HTC) saying it'll be available mid Nov in SA - I'm also after it :)

My poor Tytn II is the longest surviving phone that I've had.

hey, does anyone know what contract you can get this on with vodacom? and roughly how much per month it will be.
Thanks

HTC HD2 on Vodacom

Hi,

I also want to know when & how much it will be on Vodacom. I phoned my local Vodashop last week to order this amazing device as I am upgrading. They said that it is on it's way and will be here about next week. To my surprise I found out today that it is not available on Vodacom yet and will probably be available in January 2010. WTF?? Vodacom can you please just give us some more info???

Um, an idea.....?

Phone VODACOM.

I did, they didn't know what the "HD2" is. After informing them they gave me a code and that was for the 1st HD. I hope they will have it soon,...very soon!!
