HTC One is here?

Apparently there are no HTC Ones available. They have all been pre-allocated. The next shipment arrives end of month.

Anyone been lucky enough to get one? Where and how?
I must have gotten one of the initial allocation then :D I applied for my upgrade about 2 weeks ago and received an sms earlier today from VC upgrades to say I have been invoiced and can expect delivery shortly. Very happy :D

I dont understand why vodacom charges so much for the HTC one, they are raping there customers

MTN

asked MTN on Facebook about the one.

"MTN South Africa Hi Anrich, we will be offering the HTC One device very soon. We ares still finalizing a few details, but we will keep you updated. Thank you for your patience."

Woohoo. Picked mine up today. The one store called me today for pickup.

I'm absolutely loving this phone.

Hey all,

Given the limited stock that arrived I'm pretty sure no operator will have the luxury of providing a display unit.

Went to Vodaworld this morning and was shocked to find that the HTC shop has closed.Apprently there is no shops in SA!The closes it got to this phone was the dummy.Had a look at the Sony Xperia and S4 but still want this phone so so much.Anyone knows where i can i get a live phone to play with ?

+ 1

Got the call this afternoon. In and out in 10 minutes. Just busy charging, and then will be messing around with it this evening! Build quality looks good!

Is it worth an upgrade from Iphone 5 to the HTC ONe. Getting tired of the IOS interface. I am really keen on the HTC One.

Tell me how good it is please!!!

Arg! I'm really wanting to get my hands on this phone! The wait for Cell C to announce something is killing me. But seriously don't want to go with Vodacom again with that excuse of a contract.

Also keen for this phone but HTC seems pretty dead in SA... One nice thing about the S3/S4 is that there are tons of accessories and spares everywhere.

This is my opinion too. What draws me even closer to the S4 is the user replaceable battery, sd-card slot and additional Samsung guarantee. The One is pretty though and I love the speakers in front

Tired of waiting for Cell C and VC is not a option. Order one from from the UK via Ebay.

The S4 just doesn't appeal to me as much as the One. My contract expires in July, hoping by then Cell C will have plenty of stock, good deals, and I will port over.

It's hands down the best phone I've ever had. None of my previous HTC phones (HD, HD2, Sensation, One X) even lasted 24 hours without being rooted and flashed with a custom rom. Here I am 5 days later and haven't even felt the urge to flash it. I'm sure I eventually will (as I prefer some of the themes on custom roms rather than the stock look), but for now stock is more than good enough.

I'm on day 5 of owning the HTC and I swear that the user experience destroys the S4.

Removable battery and sd card shouldn't be of concern. A battery pack along with 32GB should neutralise that issue.

As for accessories, I always order from overseas and have been doing so for the past 3 years. Best part is that even with delivery costs, it's cheaper ordering internationally, not to mention the bigger range of products that exists.

Before you commit to the S4, give the HTC a whirl. It will win you over easily.
