HTC One range pricing emerges from Vodacom

OK so I am interested in getting one now... but OBVIOUSLY the stores I phoned do not even know about this yet! The one store said they don't know if they are getting it, and the other store said they have no idea when they will be getting stock... So it's another waiting time...

It's rather expensive, but then again it's only R60 or so more than I pay currently for the same contract with my HTC Desire.

So my next question: If I want one without the Wi-Fi problem, which model number should I go for? Which models have this problem fixed?

Stock is available. The stores just need to order it. If they place order now they will have it either Thursday or Friday depending what time the order is released.

Thanks Ockster!

I just spoke to the upgrade centre. They also told me that you only received the GREY version of the One X... meh! I will have to go to a store to check it out, but I really want the white version. I would also like to check the model numbers, to try and get one WITHOUT the Wi-Fi problem, if there are specific model numbers where this has been fixed.

Maybe I'll pop into a store on the weekend...

Is there any difference going to Cellucity vs a Vodashop to get one of the latest deals? I went to the Cellucity in Kenilworth Centre and when I asked about the Galaxy S3 on Top Up, it was a pain to get pricing via their DealerWeb interface on Top Up 315s and 400s. In fact, in the end, they only had the 400s deal I've seen mentioned on MyBB, and they couldn't find the 315s deal.

However, when I went to the Vodashop they had the info much more easily available in whatever system they use to look up deals. Are the Cellucity guys discriminated against in how the info on these deals are disseminated to them?

All Vodacom SP dealers, Vodashops, Chatz, 4U etc use the dealerweb system....including me. Perhaps the people you were dealing with did not know how to use it. The could also have gone according to the spreadsheets that gets mailed to us.

no differnce
same specials and packages

I am not sure the ones without the WiFi problem are here yet. Seeing that HTC only acknowledged the problem 2 weeks ago. Assuming they only found out then, any phones even just shipped on that day can't have arrived by today and appeared in stores already.

Wait it out for a different batch. I've also not seen the white One X at any branch I have been to in Pretoria. The grey one looks downright cheap. Today an MTNSP shop assistant said he wasn't sure whether MTN has even started stocking the One X yet. All the while there was a dummy model in the display right behind him.

Sometimes I feel sorry for the sales guys. Sometimes.
