HTC One X

Well, I have a GNex, and I can honestly that the size doesn't bother me. Yes, it can be a bit awkward to use one-handed, but it's not uncomfortable in my pocket (thanks to the thin profile of the device, something which also applies to the One X), and any tradeoffs are more than worth it in exchange for the vastly improved experience you get while browsing the web, reading text, watching videos, playing games, or anything else that uses the screen. I'm not sure I would be comfortable trading up to Galaxy Note-sized proportions, but the 4.6" screen on the Nexus definitely feels okay to me.

Cool, thanks! I'm really interested in a larger phone and lately there is so much to choose from. A mate of mine just got the Nexus so I'll be harassing him to use it for a few hours!

Like with my HTC Desire aftermarket batteries are the way to go:) I get about 28-37 hours on one charge with the larger capacity battery. But alas with the lack of a removable battery this phone is a no no, rather wait for the galaxy s3.

What battery do you have. Buying a replacement battery at the moment. Going for a cheap hideous double size double capacity battery from dx.com . The plan is to use my desire as a cycling computer.

I think there are 4 android phones to look forward to this year. Maybe 2 more. So its the htc one x, one s, asus padfone and Samsung galaxy s3. The maybe are the new LG optimus something and the Huawei ascend.

I admire Samsung but htc has a more premium feel to it. Galaxy S2 is quite a nice phone but feels super plasticky.!

But I'd pick the asus if possible, the software is near stock android and they're unmatched in providing software updates!

And you won't be able to handle a Samsung after having a htc. I've tried.

Just get both. :D

I have a Samsung Galaxy S2 as my main phone (insanely fast phone with the best screen in the business) & a HTC Wildfire S as my party/backup phone (love this pocket rocket).

I shall be getting the PadPhone when it eventually comes out. Unless there is some glaring flaw it comes with, like exploding if you turn it upside down or something.

I really like it, but eish, no memory card slot, i'll pass, im sure it will do well though, the design looks great and its got quite a spec sheet, and that Sense4.0 UI is looking proper slick, very nice Htc. :)

Sorely tempted by this - played with one for a few minutes today (in Melbourne at the moment), and could get it for around R5700. But I've got an S2, so don't really need an upgrade, and the S3 and other new phones will come soon-ish. So yes, the rational part of the brain is saying "of course you shouldn't buy it" - but other parts are telling me otherwise...

How did it feel? How was the touch feeling - snappy, smooth & responsive?

Very, but I suppose a quad-core will tend to do that. Sense 4 looked good too. The hardware is very sexy - super slim & light, and not really much bigger than my S2. Even though it's got an extra cm or so of screen, it's only slightly larger - they've wasted very little space around the screen.

It's an awesome device. I just got one for a friend, he unfortunately can't take it so I'm sitting with it... I'm very tempted to keep it for myself....

blehhhh... just got the list of Vodacom Business Specials for April.... Nothing on there I like :(

Samsung Galaxy S2 about the only nice phone on the list ... a bit old imo.... and then a ton of BB's (yuck) and some Nokia's (hate em)...
