HTC Touch Diamond

Duttys V3

So yesterday I flashed Duttys V2.9 MSVC and went through the process of loading all my apps back on and then... today I see he/she has released the V3 version.
I think I'll sit tight, play around with 2.9 and then see what the folks on XDA have to say about V3 before I flash it. No doubt the next day V3.1 will come out.:o

On the subject of flashing ROMS... how many of you will reflash the Stock Rom before flashing the cooked ROM? I see it's a practice a lot of the developers recommend.

can't think of any possible reason to flash back to a stock rom first. nope, none.

I'm not to sure why. I'll try find the thread on XDA and post the reasoning here.

cool. it doesn't make any sense to load stock rom first? its like loading windows 2000 and then loading xp over it? (or do i have it wrong)

Doesn't make sense at all ... everything is wiped and reloaded

Well, from what I can gether it makes the new ROM more stable and prevents any buggy issues.

There's this:
"Follow Dutty's advice, I have re-flash the original offical ROM, my HBH-DS220 works good with my Diamond, no intermittently any more.
and then, i flash 2.9 RTM again, and the intermittently issue has gone."

And this:

Did that last night by restoring stock 1.93 and back. Unfortunately this afternoon I got the GSOD again.

Didn't really make much sense to me either and I've never had any problems flashing. Maybe I've just been lucky though.

Me to

Yeah, the final for 3.1, until 3.2 comes out later this week

haha thats true. the only reason for all the quick updates is to sort out all the smaller glitches that people are getting with the older version.

What Hard SPl??

What version of Hard spl are you guys using? and what radio version?
Is it true that some radio versions make your GPS load faster.

1.34 Hard-spl and radio 1.00.25.05

I also read that the radio makes a difference but it can't be much. I've flashed a couple of ROMs but kept the same radio and there have been big differences in how quickly the GPS locks onto satellites. Just my experience though.

is there a way to setup so MTN MMS are downloaded straight to the phone instead of getting a message to go to the website and enter the reference code (MTN Anytime contract)
