HTC TyTN / Imate JasJam

2Gb microSD

Just saw an ad for 2Gb microSD (couldn't make out the manufacturer) at PDAshop for R450 (VAT incl.)

Means I overpaid on bidorbuy

that depends on type. if you have a SanDisk, it's cheap @ R525.00

I think PDAshop sells Legend brand?

did you get it off that birger guy? if so it seems he is based in Germany. That's about the only reason i haven't used him.

EDIT: PDAShop were out of stock last week and the guy said he was only expecting new stock in April.
A search for SD on the site brings up a mini SD and no micro SD cards

Just Uploaded WM6_Themed__LVSW_Radio_1.34.00.10_SPL_1.10.Oli to Coza's website if anyone wants it.
Should help those with local bandwidth only.

Coza, thanks for setting this up.
:p

Not only that, everytime i try to DownLoad from rapid share it tells me that i tried to download from a different ip than reported ( Upstream proxy i recon), and only paying will help.
I did have to pay for access as i was dead keen the first wm6 rom update.
I now have the xda live edition and my phone keeps crashing.
If anyone has the newer release LVSW or any of the black editions please upload. plus there are a few apps up there to download.

CoZa

I find that Black edition is a bit speedier than than LVSW. It also have a few more useful apps installed. Too soon to tell, but LVSW wifi was maybe stronger. If its a bit dark, you can always just change the theme. :D

BTW - New Radio ROM available: Ver 1.38.00.10

ftp://xda:[email protected]/Hermes/Cooked_ROMs/HERM_RADIO_1.38.00.10_Only_SSPL.rar

remember, the safest way to flash radio stack is having HARD-SPL installed first:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=35136&d=1173326890

then flash radio update while activesync is connected

Have you tested this new radio ? Gonna do some reading first.

Whats the diffs between Hard SPL and the one they recommend with LSVW ?

Picked up a 2GB SanDisk for R549 from Cats Digital in Sandton.

New radio operates fine. I seem to have better battery life with the new one, otherwise no noticeable difference

I'm not too sure what the difference between HARD SPL and SSPL is, I have Hard SPL installed.

Ahh... okay i'm back... managed to kinda screw up my Apple Mac a little...

New Radio? Do we have any more news as to what it's about?

Is it a Trinity release? or the gps one?.... ie. does it follow 1.34 or 1.35?

The one I posted was the Hermes one(no GPS). There is a trinity one too, but take the hermes one obviously.

What is the benefit of having programs on the Storage Card as opposed to Main Memory? Is there some speed up?

Installing to the mem card saves space in the main memory, but this is not suited to applications that run "always on" or require network access. There seems to be a problem waking up the memory card from standby ......... just my impression.

Today is my play day, so I'm gonna install some apps to test and tonight we will rebuild with new LSVW.

Also i assume if you have programs installed to the mem card, if you do a hard reset you will need to reinstall them as well.

I guess one can just recreate the links .......... or so they say. I reinstall as I keep all my Cab's in a separate folder on Mem card.

There is a new hack available to get 8MB more storage by fiddling with the OS partition. Not sure if it is safe for my skills yet, but check it out.

anyone using the SPB GPRS tracking?

I want to know how to set it up so that it also tracks the data when the phone is used a modem. My current configuration only tracks the usage of the phone itself.

dotVIBE, any ideas?
