Huawei B315 and external router

Hi

I recently signed up for the Telkom Mobile Uncapped LTE product (with Huawei B315)- which I received on Thursday.

What I would like to know:

1. The B315 came with a Poynting antenna - does this connect to the B315 directly or does it boost the signal wirelessly?

2. Can I use an external router with the B315? I would like to use something like the TP Link AC750 dual band router. Will this work? I also have my CCTV connected to my network (I have a dyn.com subscription)

1. Connects by dual antenna cable.
2. Yes, setup DMZ on B315, point it to AC750 IP address and connect one of Huawei LAN ports to the AC750's WAN port.
3. Setup your AC750 LAN as usual.
 
Thanks, I just hope that installation of the antenna happens quick.
I'm getting just about 20mb/s without it, so hopefully it will at least double up
 
i dont know if i should create a new thread or not.i have a question related to the b315 modem.

I received my LTE modem today for smart home LTE unlimited. My sim is RICA'd and activated but i cant connect to the internet as it says "disconnected" all the time.

I've been through 4 call center agents in the technical department and none of them could help me.

Ive already tried resetting the modem and creating new connection profiles but it hasnt helped. what should i do?

I waited 2 days after it was rica'd to switch on

Which Poynting antenna does Telkom provide with their Uncapped LTE product?
